FAQs
Is there a dress code?
“Every day is black tie optional” -Dwight K. Schrute
While we’re going to be dressed in killer outfits and welcome you to do the same, our wedding dress code is cocktail (semi-formal) attire. Please feel free to have fun with colors and patterns; we love a good floral or unique dinner jacket. While much of the event takes place outdoors, all areas are paved.
What’s the weather forecast?
We have made a vow to not continuously check weather.com every day leading up to the wedding. That being said, temperatures can fluctuate often, especially up north, so it’s a good idea to take a look the week of for the most accurate details. The average temperatures in June tend to be a high of 75 with the low dropping to 58.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception indoor/outdoor. If it is a little chillier that day, please plan accordingly.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is parking on site at BlueBridge. Guests are also welcome to leave vehicles at the property overnight. While we are not providing shuttle transportation, we will make sure to have taxi cards available to call and get you back to your hotel/Airbnb safely if needed.
Are kids welcome?
While we absolutely adore your kids, unfortunately our venue has a strict limit on the number of guests we can accommodate. We ask that only guests listed on the invitation be in attendance. Please reach out to Gary or Elyse with any questions or concerns!
Is the venue accessible?
All areas for both the Ceremony and Reception are paved and have easy wheelchair access to all sites. There are handicap parking spaces as well as ADA bathrooms.
Where can we stay?
We have a few room blocks at local hotels both near the venue and in downtown Traverse City. You can find them on our Accommodations page. Additionally, there are a number of rental homes that can be found through Airbnb or VRBO. Grawn is located near both Traverse City and Interlochen, MI.
Is there more to do?
There is so much to experience in this part of the state, from visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes to wine tasting to exploring nostalgic small towns! If you’re here a day early or staying through Sunday, feel free to check out our “Things to Do” page for a few of our favorite suggestions.
